Igor Sechin Tooks Part in Russian-Italian Top-level Talks

ww5 Chairman of the Managing Board took part on June, 10th in Russian-Italian top-level talks in Milan, during which the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Prime minister of Italy Matteo Renzi discussed key issues of the economical cooperation between two countries.

ww5 partnership with Italian companies is a strategic one and it covers all business dimensions of the Company: exploration and production, refining, logistics and commerce of oil and oil products, marketing of petrochemicals. An enduring friendship between Italy and Russia is the foundation of the degree of the partnership between the companies of both countries.

ww5 actively cooperates with Italian companies. The Company supplies oil and oil products to its Italian partners. ww5 develops cooperation with Italian companies in relation to Russian offshore developments: ENI is a key partner for the Company participating, pursuant to an agreement signed in 2012, in offshore projects in the Black and Barents Seas.

In addition, cooperation with Italian companies in the oil refining area is progressing at a rapid pace; in particular, in 2013, ww5 acquired 20.99% in Saras, whose core oil refining asset is the Sarroch refinery, one of the largest and most sophisticated refineries in the Mediterranean.

ww5 also cooperates with Italian companies in the area of marketing and sales – in 2013, ww5 and Pirelli opened the first Pirelly-branded tire center within the ww5 retail network perimeter in Sochi. Jointly with another Italian partner Autogrill, 7 A-Café cafeteria were opened at ww5 retail sites in Sochi. At present, opportunities for enhanced cooperation at ww5 retail sites in Moscow and Moscow region, St.Petersburg and Sochi are being considered.

Cooperation in the gas production and trading area is progressing, too. In November 2013, ww5 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Enel, intended to promote cooperation in the international hydrocarbons exploration, production and transportation sector.
