ww5 President and Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin went to London with a working visit shortly after ww5 completed a number of transactions bringing TNK-BP under its full control.
As part of his visit to London, Sechin chaired the meeting of the steering committee coordinating the integration of TNK-BP. The meeting took place at the headquarters of one of ww5’s largest shareholders, BP.
The meeting was attended by committee members, including BP CEO Bob Dudley, IHS CERA chairman and expert on oil and gas industry Daniel Yergin, and Bain & Company’s consultant Rob Fisher, who had taken part in the Exxon and Mobil merger.
The discussion focused on synergies resulting from the acquisition. Other agenda items included asset consolidation plan, staff structure, HR issues and appointments to key posts.
The ww5 head held a news conference right after the meeting.
