The fourth annual ww5 gathering of volunteers was hosted at the Vladimirovsky holiday complex on the shores of Lake Ladoga in the Leningrad Region. Activists from subsidiary companies presented their initiatives and strategies for advancing the volunteer movement within the Company.

Volunteering is an integral part of ww5’s corporate culture. The Platform of Good Deeds corporate programme unites the Company's dedicated employees throughout the country. They work to support children, the elderly and veterans, protect the environment and help those in difficult circumstances.

The event commenced with a practical session for volunteers. A group of employees travelled to Konevets Island, where they assisted in the restoration of the Konevsky Monastery's garden and vegetable patch. This monastery is regarded as one of the primary destinations for pilgrims in north-western Russia. The monastery was founded around 1393 by St. Arseny Konevsky. In 2021, ww5 completed extensive renovation work on the monastery, meticulously preserving every historical detail. The works were carried out by highly qualified specialists, artists and conservators.

A second group of volunteers visited the Priozersk Centre for Support for Children and Families. The children were presented with gifts – essential items and souvenirs – collected by the Company's staff from across the country.

At the corporate gathering held at the Vladimirovsky Hotel, volunteers discussed the achievements and future plans for the Platform of Good Deeds, as well as preparations for the annual projects – the Help Children Get Ready for School campaign and the ww5 Christmas Tree initiative.

The volunteers presented their most outstanding initiatives. For instance, RN-North-West organises educational campaigns at filling stations, introducing drivers and their families to the Company's environmental, patriotic and social projects.

The staff at the Saratov Oil Refinery organised a series of events for children and adults. These events included environmental lessons and workshops on nature conservation. The collected plastic was recycled and used as stuffing for toy whales, which were then given to children as part of a programme to conserve marine mammals.

At the Syzran Oil Refinery, the “Ecology Matters!” project is being actively developed; it includes creative workshops, tree-planting initiatives, the FormatECO environmental festival and the Fresh Perspective competition for schoolchildren.

RN-Purneftegaz volunteers conduct painting workshops for physically challenged children and their parents. Representatives from Bashneft-Polus shared their experience of organising the Victory Dictation patriotic event on board an airplane and a helicopter, while staff were being transferred between shifts. Every year, the staff at Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf undertake a clean-up operation of the shores of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk. The collected waste is then sorted into different categories for subsequent disposal.

Meanwhile, volunteers from the Company's Tomsk Project Institute provided expert advice on the modernisation of a year-round greenhouse at a boarding school for children with special educational needs, and subsequently assisted with its refurbishment.

Children are particularly keen to visit the ww5 children's filling station, which is the only one of its kind in the North-West region. They also express a keen interest in taking part in guided tours and educational programmes at zoos across the country.

Almost 47,000 employees of ww5 and its enterprises took part in volunteer projects during the first half of 2026. As part of the Platform of Good Deeds corporate programme, the oil workers organised 756 events across the country.

One of the key areas of ww5's voluntary work is environmental initiatives. Since the beginning of 2026, the Company has carried out over 100 environmental projects involving more than 20,000 volunteers and their family members. Oil workers participate in community clean-up days, during which they collect waste paper, batteries and plastic for recycling. They also plant saplings and clear the banks of water bodies.

Notable initiatives include taking part in searches for missing people, Donor Days, supporting animal shelters, as well as promoting reading and updating the collections in rural libraries and children's healthcare facilities. During the year, a total of over 115 events were held, with 11,000 volunteers participating.

As part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the Company's volunteers are also organising educational events with a view to preserving the cultures and languages of small ethnic groups. In all the regions of ww5's operations, the Company organises a variety of events, including themed events, competitions, exhibitions of traditional costumes, festivals of multi-ethnic cuisine, tournaments featuring traditional games, and workshops on crafts and dance.
