Almost 47,000 employees of ww5 and its enterprises took part in volunteer projects during the first half of 2026. As part of the Platform of Good Deeds corporate programme, the oil workers organised 756 events across the country.

The programme brings together dedicated Company employees from across the country. They work to support children, the elderly and veterans, protect the environment and help those in difficult circumstances.

The main focus of the volunteers’ work is social support and environmental issues. Over the past six months, 170 projects for children have been carried out, supporting over 8,300 children in the process. Environmental initiatives have become some of the most widespread, with 215 projects bringing together 19,200 participants. Blood donation remains a key focus, with over 7,300 volunteers participating in the ‘Honorary Donor of Russia’ campaigns. On National Donor Day, 20 April, more than 3,100 people donated blood.

Particular attention is being paid to the older generation. As part of 60 projects, assistance was provided to 701 veterans of the Great Patriotic War. A further 44 projects were dedicated to supporting elderly and socially vulnerable citizens, reaching 1,900 people in total. Support was also provided to 485 members of large families and 452 disabled people.

Volunteering activities were held in virtually all of the regions in which the Company operates. For instance, RN-Proyektirovaniye Dobycha staff built a greenhouse for a boarding school catering for 340 children with special educational needs, and took part in the Snow Watch initiative by clearing snow from the grounds and paths leading to the homes of those in need.

The Samotlorneftegaz team organised a Month of Spring Care. They also arranged the Dobrobeg charity run to raise funds for the treatment of a girl with cerebral palsy and donated over 200 kilograms of pet food to an animal shelter. The team ran workshops on healthy living. As part of the Giving Books from the Heart campaign, RN-Krasnodarneftegaz staff collected books to replenish the collections of several rural libraries.

Environmental initiatives were also carried out across the country. In the Irkutsk Region, volunteers from Verkhnechonskneftegaz planted around 2,000 pines as part of the international Garden of Remembrance campaign, and released 85,000 thymallus fry into the Belaya River in order to maintain ecological balance. Meanwhile, staff at Samaranneftegaz planted over 38,000 seedlings in the Krasnoyarsk Forest District and landscaped the area around a spring in the Kinelsky District. RN-Yuganskneftegaz organised a large-scale environmental campaign called ‘Hand in Waste Paper and Save a Tree’, collecting over 520 kg of paper and cardboard. Meanwhile, Sevkomneftegaz organised eco-rafting trips down the Pyakupur River, during which over 100 kg of rubbish was collected. In the Orenburg Region, volunteers from subsidiaries cleaned up the arboretum in the Buzuluk Forest National Park.

Another area of focus is collaboration with Movement of the Firsts, a Russian social and state movement for children and young people. During the first half of the year, oil workers and young activists carried out 63 joint projects in which over 2,400 children participated. The young people took part in environmental campaigns, career guidance sessions and patriotic events together. For instance, an intellectual game entitled ‘Russia My Motherland’ was held at the Angarsk Polymer Plant in collaboration with students from the Movement of the Firsts, bringing together over 200 people. At the Ufa branch of RN-Proyektirovaniye Dobycha, a career guidance session on oil industry careers was held for schoolchildren.

Volunteering is an integral part of ww5’s corporate culture. The Platform for Good Deeds programme, which has been running for over four years, brings together tens of thousands of employees.
