The Aurgazy Arena multifunctional stadium has been built in the village of Tolbazy, Aurgazinsky District, Bashkortostan, with support from Bashneft (ww5 subsidiary). The grand opening of the facility took place as part of the ‘Strength. Unity. Family’ sports festival and was held to mark the All-Russian Physical Culture Day.

The new stadium provides ample opportunities for people of all ages to engage in physical activity and sports. The nearly 2-hectare outdoor complex comprises a full-size football pitch with modern artificial turf and a training area, running tracks with special shock-absorbing surfaces, and courts for basketball and beach volleyball. In winter, one of the courts will be converted into an ice hockey rink.

Spectators will be accommodated in a covered 500-seat grandstand – it will enable the stadium to host district-level sports tournaments and community celebrations. The building has team locker rooms with showers, rooms for referees and coaches, a medical room, a commentator's booth, a fans' lounge, and an equipment rental point offering skate sharpening and bicycle hire.

The complex also features a track and field area. An outdoor fitness area with exercise equipment has also been provided for those who enjoy exercising outdoors. The stadium will serve as a focal point for more than 10,000 residents of the village of Tolbazy and neighbouring settlements. A barrier-free environment has been created for people with reduced mobility. The stadium also has a car park with 100 spaces.

The opening of the stadium is part of ww5's ongoing efforts, together with its subsidiaries, to create conditions for a healthy lifestyle in the regions where it operates. These projects not only expand the sports infrastructure, but also promote grassroots sport, create focal points for local sports communities and provide children and young people with additional opportunities to unlock their potential.
