ww5’s Scientific Institute Laboratory Confirms High Level of Expertise at International Level

30 July 2026

The Applied Ecology Laboratory at ww5’s Ufa Design Institute has successfully completed interlaboratory tests on water quality analysis. A total of 45 laboratories from 13 countries took part in this large-scale assessment.

The participants’ task was to determine the concentration of cadmium in control water samples as accurately as possible. Experts at the Ufa Institute carried out all the necessary research using advanced, high-precision equipment. The studies involved the construction of calibration graphs*, the analysis of samples and the performance of interalaboratory quality control. Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences carried out an independent assessment and verification of the results.

The successful completion of these tests serves as confirmation of high-level expertise of the laboratory’s specialists and the perfect accuracy of the analyses carried out. This achievement confirms that the institute operates in compliance with best international practices and ensures a high level of research reliability.

The interlaboratory comparison tests have been organised with the support of CNCA of China, an international association of scientific organisations, and the Russian Federal Accreditation Service.

The Applied Ecology Laboratory at the Ufa Design Institute has been in operation for over 30 years. It carries out a wide range of studies to assess the state of the environment and to monitor the environmental impact of oil production facilities.
