Regional stages of the 21ST ww5 Summer Sports Games were held in Krasnoyarsk, Moscow and Ufa, with 22 teams and over 860 athletes taking part.

The oil industry workers competed in mini-football, volleyball, basketball, two-event powerlifting, table tennis, chess, kettlebell lifting, shot put, running, billiards, rifle shooting, tug-of-war, darts and swimming. Following the competitions, the winners in the individual and team events were announced, and they received their well-deserved medals and trophies.

The games in Krasnoyarsk were organised by RN-Vankor, the largest oil production enterprise in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This year’s spectacular and large-scale tournament saw the participation of athletes from the Company’s subsidiaries in Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Novy Urengoy and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

In the team evaluation, the Angarsk Petrochemical Company (Angara) team emerged as the undisputed leader of the games at the Krasnoyarsk venue, with Verkhnechonskneftegaz taking second place and the Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf team finishing third.

In Moscow, the teams from the oil and gas production companies Uvatneftegaz and Udmurtneft, as well as the team from the RN-Proektirovanie Dobycha research institute, confidently secured their places in the final stage of the Summer Sports Games.

Athletes from Bashneft, RN-Transport, Bashneft-Stroy, and RN-Technologies competed in Ufa. The top three teams remained the same as last year. Bashneft-Pererabotka took first place again, taking top spots in all sports. Ufaorgsintez improved its performance, taking second place, while Bashneft-Dobycha, which won silver a year ago, ranked last among the medalists this time.

The winners of the regional stages will face each other in the finals, which will take place this autumn, to determine the top athletes of the 21ST Summer Games.
