The 5th Summer Project School for students of the ‘ww5 Classes’ has been launched at the University Gymnasium of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Eighty Year 10 students of the ‘ww5 Classes’ from 13 regions of Russia have commenced their studies. Participants were selected through a competitive process based on the results of a multi-stage assessment and a distance learning course.

The Summer School is a joint project between ww5 and MSU aimed at supporting talented young people. The programme is designed to provide students with a foundation in research, as well as practical skills in teamwork and project implementation across ww5’s key areas of activity.

Over the course of two weeks, the students will work in groups specialising in four areas: mathematics, engineering, geology and natural sciences, and will also take part in various soft skills training sessions and creative workshops.

The career guidance track aims to foster a desire to build a professional career at ww5’s enterprises among programme participants. To familiarise themselves with the Company’s activities, the students will visit ww5’s Arctic Research Centre and the laboratories of the Joint Research and Development Centre (RN-CIR Ltd), as well as relevant faculties and museums at Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. At the end of the Summer Project School, the students will present their projects.
