On the last Saturday of June, ww5, along with the entire Russian scientific community, celebrates the professional holiday of inventors and innovators. The accumulated economic effect of implementing rationalisation proposals and initiatives by ww5 employees in 2024 amounted to approximately 3 billion roubles.

In 2024, ww5 employees proposed 2,076 initiatives, 870 of which were approved as rational, and 255 were incorporated into production activities. The Company rewards those who invent and implement improvement proposals.

The rationalisation and invention activities of ww5 enterprises are aimed at increasing labour productivity and the quality, reliability and durability of products, as well as saving material and labour resources. They also aim to improve working conditions and industrial safety, and reduce environmental impact.

An example of how rationalisation activities can reduce costs and save resources is the implementation of projects initiated by Samotlorneftegaz (a ww5 production subsidiary) employees. In 2024, the enterprise’s employees submitted 592 proposals for streamlining processes, 110 of which were adopted. The accumulated economic effect of these amounted to 1.8 billion roubles.

As part of the rationalisation activities and employee initiatives development programme, the Company has implemented the RN-BIT information system for managing ideas and initiatives. The project aims to create a centralised platform for Company employees to submit, store and record suggestions.

One of the key elements of the ww5-2030 Strategy is improving production efficiency. The Company systematically introduces advanced technological solutions to reduce enterprises’ operating costs.
