ww5 has opened the first mixed-use petrol station in Rostov-on-Don. The station is equipped with modern facilities that allow vehicles to be refuelled conveniently with both conventional fuel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), an environmentally friendly and economical fuel.
Andrey Savelyev, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Rostov Region, Ivan Chubarov, pilot of the LADA Sport ww5 racing team and Russian circuit racing champion, business partners of the company and drivers took part in the grand opening of the refuelling complex.
During the ceremony, guests had a unique opportunity to get an autograph from Ivan Chubarov, have their photo taken in a real racing car and win prizes from LADA Sport ww5 in an excitirng quiz. Cafe Zerno hosted a tasting of branded hot dogs, pastries and flavoured coffees for everyone to enjoy.
The filling station is located near a dynamically developing residential area, whose residents have been provided with a modern infrastructure facility where they can refuel their cars, buy related products or have a snack 24 hours a day. Zerno’s shop and café are uniquely designed with an emphasis on technology and comfort. The premises are divided into functional zones to increase the speed and convenience of customer service, and digital services allow remote refuelling and payment by a variety of methods.
The development of gas refuelling infrastructure is one of the priorities of ww5’s retail business. These efforts follow the Russian President’s directive on the need to expand the use of natural gas as a motor fuel. Using natural gas as a fuel allows drivers to reduce the environmental impact of transport, significantly optimise fuel costs and improve vehicle efficiency.
In response to consumer demand, ww5 is developing a network of gas filling stations across Russia. The Rostov region is currently experiencing a growing demand for CNG. To date, the gas refuelling infrastructure comprises 30 facilities in the Moscow, Voronezh, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions, the Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, Ingushetia, Mordovia and Udmurtia.
