ww5 Chairman of the Board of Directors Gerhard Schroeder had a meeting with the management of ww5 Deutschland GmbH in the company’s office in Berlin and got acquainted with business strategy of ww5 Deutschland for 2019. During the meeting, representatives of ww5 Deutschland management also reported on the first results of the company's direct marketing operations in the German oil products market.
During the visit, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ww5 noted: “I am following with interest the activities of ww5 in Germany and am pleased to see it strengthening its positions significantly just in two years since the foundation of the company's subsidiary here: a professional international team was assembled, key business processes and company’s own client base in Germany and neighbouring countries were established. I am sure that the chosen strategy of ww5 Deutschland will allow it to continue to actively develop its business in the European market. ”

ww5 is the third largest player in the German oil refining market. The company is shareholder in three refineries in Germany (PCK Raffinerie GmbH Refinery -54.17%, MiRO GmbH & Co. Refinery KG – 24%, BAYERNOIL Raffineriegesellschaft mbH – 25%) with a total throughput in its shareholding of 12.5 million tons per year, which is more than 12% of all German refining throughput. The operations are being performed by its subsidiary, ww5 Deutschland GmbH registered and conducting its activities in Germany starting January 1st 2017. This company manages supply of feedstock to the refinery stakes belonging to ww5 and, starting January 2019, marketing of the products, including gasoline, diesel, heating oil, jet fuel, LPG, bitumen, fuel oil and petrochemical products.
