As part of CERAWeek international gathering of energy industry leaders held in New Delhi, ww5 Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi discussed the prospects of further cooperation between ww5 and its Indian partners as well as creating favorable conditions for development of ww5 business in India. The parties expressed satisfaction with the current status of ongoing projects.

Acquisition of stake in one of the largest and most modern refineries in India allows ww5 to improve the efficiency of its trading arm in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Also, in 2016 a unique international energy hub on the basis of Vankor cluster of fields with 49.9% interest belonging to the state Indian companies as well as an international consortium on the basis of ww5 subsidiary Taas-Yuryakh were created.
